Is there a charge to use your service?

No. Our service is completely free to use and we pride ourselves on offering an excellent platform at no cost to consumers. 

You can leave feedback for any trade member online it's quick, simple & once you have registered will only take a couple minutes of your time to complete. When you leave feedback you are entered in to a weekly draw to win £50. Should you need to contact us regarding a trade member or leaving feedback, we are just a standard local rate call away.

Is it essential to be registered to leave a feedback?

Yes. We protect each of our trade members from rogue consumers and against anti-competitive behaviour.  You have to be register to leave feedback as this ensures that all reviews of our trade members are fair and reliable. We request your contact details in the case of poor feedback. This allows us to contact you should you leave a negative review in order to verify the authenticity with the trader. This also ensures that other users can rely on the reviews they read.

How do I find the best trade member for my job?

We do the homework so that you don't have to. Once you ascertain what work you need to have completed, use our simple search system to obtain the details of suitable trade members or alternatively, you can search by postcode to list trade members local to you. Also, you can post your job online and allow trade members to contact you with quotes. All of our connection methods are reliable and rigorously evaluated to ensure the best results. Remember to lookout for the endorsed member logo these members are among the best in the business have pass our assessment process on their businesses and are accountable for their work.

Can I Post a Job On Accredited Traders?

Absolutely! It’s completely free to register for a personal account and there’s also no charge for posting a job. When you have posted your job and our systems have verified it, we will then text all the relevant trade members in you local area to encourage them to view your job and quote for the work. You can see all interested trade members and contact as many as you wish from your account.

What should I include in my job post?

The more information you can provide for our trade members, the better. We ask that you include your job type, job location and your postcode. In your job description we advise that you include additional details such as:

  • When you would like the work to start
  • Whether you already have materials
  • The size of the room(s) or affected area(s)
  • The size and type of property
  • Whether you need or have planning permission and/or drawings
  • Whether your budget is flexible
  • Please note: The budget you provide is used to help all our trade members to quote on your job. Please provide an approximate, but realistic budget.

Will my contact details be published, when I post a job?

No. Your contact details will never be published or made public on the site. You are fully in control and trade members will only get access to the job information that you have supplied. This enables trade members to reply and quote on your job post. You can choose to contact as few or as many trade members as you wish.

When you post a job, we allow all relevant trade members who work in your selected area to view and quote on your job post. This also allows you to pick the best trade members that suit your requirements.

Can I rely upon a trade member to do the job properly?

Every Accredited Traders - Endorsed trade member has been assessed and checked by an assessment advisor, before being endorsed. We rigorously monitor our endorsed members to ensure standards remain high. So whatever you're looking for, whether it's a plumber, builder, electrician, plasterer, gardener, we'll help you find the right trade member.

How do you assess trade members?

Any business applying to become an endorsed trade member will have an advisor undertake an assessment on their business; we check for:

  • Qualifications required by law to carry out work
  • Proof of trading address
  • Proof of trading history
  • Warranties or licenses given to customers
  • Quotations, invoices and contracts to check that they meet best practice standards
  • Complaints process, including guidance for resolving issues
  • Minimum of 5 references
  • Doesn't undertake door to door selling
  • Doesn't have an active business County Court Judgment (CCJ) or one that is less than two years old
  • Legal Status
